Happy and Successful

dynamic balance

Here is what I’ve learned so far – Our lives are meant to be brilliant. They’re meant to be fun, exciting and challenging. We are meant to grow and develop not just for our own sake but as a source of joy, support, energy and optimism for those around us.

We are meant to inspire and encourage through our actions, by our example, showing commitment and courage, creativity and genius. We have been brought into this world to shine, to laugh, to play and to figure out how to make things better, not for everyone but for those we can. We are here to take notice of just how amazing our world really is, how amazing we are, what a miracle our very existence is and to help as many others to reach their potential as we can. We are here, in the present having been given a “head start” by those that came before us and entrusted by them to use their legacy well.

If you don’t feel that joyful empowering energy, perhaps it’s time you found someone that will inspire you, someone that will encourage you and someone that will support you to live as fully, as brilliantly as possible, after all this is your life.

I’ve learned that Success in life is ruled by a simple principle: (dynamic) Balance. This dictates that we can only thrive by constantly being in tune with ourselves and in harmony with our environment. If you need an image – think of a surfer.

Your life, as an individual, at work, as part of a community or even as a citizen of Planet Earth requires constant awareness and attention .. of your requirements, your assets, your commitments and to your behaviours, actions and habits and just as importantly to the nature of the current environment, that is – the world “out there”.

To successfully navigate through challenges and make the best of opportunities you need to learn how to know yourselves ever more profoundly and harmonise with a constantly changing external reality: the sea can get rough and powerful one minute and placid and weak the next.

We all seek things as we progress through life: peace, security, happiness, fame, wealth, health, excitement and status to name a few. So understanding what is important to us at each stage of our journey and what the world currently requires, approves of, rewards or punishes is vital if we are to achieve what we want and need most.

And here is the thing that many people miss: The great power of the surfer does not come from themselves but from the wave they are riding, which itself is the manifestation of enormous forces way out to sea. When the surfer learns to understand the power and flow of the wave and develop their skill, WAM, they learn to travel further and faster than they could ever believed possible.

Learning to ride the wave is a skill that we can all learn to do it in our lives as individuals, as businesses, as communities and as a society. The rewards for those that commit to that pursuit are almost unimaginable.

There are plenty of resources out there to help you, books, programmes, seminars and workshops. There are gurus and teachers, coaches and trainers and it just a question of finding what works best for you …. And if you’re stuck?

Why not give me a call or drop me an email, as part of the We Are Mavericks Network  we’ll explore what type of help you need and from whom. I’m sure we can help you become an incredible (life) surfer … life can be fun, and rewarding and fulfilling, why settle for anything less?

What people are saying:

“Andy and I have worked for a year, initially to rediscover my true purpose and, then, to reapply it after 3 years in the wilderness of recession. These missions are accomplished and I am where I want to be, doing what I’m best at, building value for everyone involved with me, thanks in no small measure to the work that Andy and I have done together.”

David Llewelyn Edwards
Managing Director - CONRAD Farm Energy Limited

“I have been in contact with Andy since reading his book “9 Rules” and from him have learned much about how to build my own motivation and that of the teams I work with. Andy is a One-in-a-Million enthusiast and I can thoroughly recommend a generous dose of what he offers!”

Simon Dodds
Clinical Director, Healthcare System Architect, Consultant Surgeon
Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust

“I have had the great opportunity to work with Andy, on a recent Leadership project. Although this was the first time, I was completely at ease . Andy brings to the table a completely Honest, Open and Intuitive energy to the group.

His ability to fully be present and inspire people with his personal stories leaves them spellbound. Andy , while being almost childlike in his creativity is also able to quickly switch hats and get down to process clarity with uncanny focus. His gift of being able to continuously learn from life and offer the invaluable lessons with complete openness has left me inspired. I have complete trust in him as a person and as a facilitator”.

  1. Thanks for one’s marvelous posting! I genuinely enjoyed reading it, you could be a great author.I will be sure to bookmark your blog and will come back later in life. I want to encourage that you continue your great posts, have a nice morning!

  2. Have you ever thought about including a little bit more than just your
articles? I mean, what you say is fundamental and everything.

However just imagine if you added some great photos or
videos to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with pics and video clips, this
blog could definitely be one of the best in its field.
    Terrific blog!
